A little backstory about me as a photographer in Bergen.
Who am i ?
Born and raised in Cameroon and hailing from a small town called Buea in the southwestern region, I wouldn’t say I was one of those who was born with a passion for photography. As a matter of fact, it wasn’t so often that I saw a camera let alone play with one while growing up. In my teenage years, I got to see cameras more often and even started playing with a few. I remember going through my mom’s cupboard and borrowing (polite way of saying stealing) the camera she had received as a gift from her sister who lived in the US. Even at that time I found the idea of borrowing without asking more interesting than the art of photography itself. Fastforward some years into the future(2016), I finally had access to a decent camera. Given that I had developed an interest for traveling and also that I was working as a tour guide at the time; I would take the camera everywhere I went and made some photos. This is where the passion for the art started. After being a hobby photographer for the entire year I finally found some one who loved my work enough to offer me my first pay check as a photography. Thereafter, I went on to photograph several weddings, portraits and other events. It was a great learning experience and over the years, a lot of experience has been gathered, new skills learned including cinematography and making shortfilms. Fastforward a few more years into the future (2018) I had moved to Norway to settle with my wife and son and wanted nothing more but to keep working as a photographer/filmmaker.
Why me ?
It is one thing to call yourself a photographer, and another thing to know how to make good photos. Over the years, I have learnt a lot as a photographer. Not only in making good photos but also how to deal with people in a polite and pleasing way and also making people feel comfortable and confident around me. This is what I can bring to the table besides making some good photos or videos for you.
Here you can find some of my work.
